Networking

Allows you to interface and learn from your peers.

Enables you to visit with many of your clients and partners at one location (saving travel expenses that would normally be incurred attending multiple meetings in multiple locations).

For Dentists, it gives you access to ask questions and learn from your payers.

For Payers, it enables you to meet with your vendor partners, your payer peers and dentists.

For Vendors, it allows you to meet with your partners, clients and peers.

For Consultants, it enables you to stay on top of the issues your clients are concerned about for today and tomorrow.

For everyone, it allows all of us to network, learn, teach, and stay on top of the latest trends, issues and solutions.

Exposure

Being a member and attending the NDEDIC Annual Conference shows that you are heavily involved in the industry and dental EDI.

Volunteering for NDEDIC committees and forums demonstrates that your organization desires to lead and be on the cutting edge.

Exhibiting at the Annual Conference shows that your organization is succeeding and continues to innovate. It helps to create a separate arena to show your products, services, to network with specific groups or individuals and provides a forum for obtaining feedback from your current clients and partners.

Sponsorship of NDEDIC also demonstrates that your company is succeeding and continuing to do well. It provides you greater exposure and also illustrates that you are a ‘friend’ of the dental industry and are willing to further invest in the future of dental EDI.

Reviewing sponsor lists may be a factor others use to determine if they wish to attend the Conference. Sponsors are generally considered to be the drivers behind the scenes that help to make the organization a success.

Brain Trust

Individuals, such as Tom Drinkard, Theresa Jansen, Pat Van Dyke, as well as other individuals who make up the dental EDI brain trust, are available through NDEDIC’s various efforts to help answer your EDI and X12 questions and provide insight into the various NDEDIC efforts.

The National Dental Electronic Transaction Simplification (NDETS) workgroup provides a guide to various transaction sets that can serve as your internal standard, to assist you with interpretations when creating your own guide or to help refine guides you currently have in place. Unlike medical or dental/medical technical organizations, NDEDIC focuses on dental and its work product illustrates this.

Leaders in payer provider services, IT development, transactional formation and implementation, vendor and clearinghouse services, dental consulting, presentation speakers and other valued dental individuals and institutions are volunteers within our forums, workgroups, panels and committees, as well as attendees to our conference. They are there to help you become more effective at expanding EDI usage throughout the dental world.

Personal & Organizational Growth

NDEDIC volunteer groups, forums and conferences not only allow for networking and knowledge expansion, but also help participants to understand, they guide and set industry standards. We create friendships that expand beyond dental EDI into other areas of our business and personal lives.

The NDEDIC Annual Conference enables opportunities for us to network, learn, teach and expand our horizons in addition to spending quality time with old and new friends, let off some ‘steam’ and enjoy the company of our peers.

NDEDIC educational opportunities and cross organizational partnerships also create a forum for even more educational opportunities, thus increasing your base knowldge, meeting even more new industry peers and friends, and enchancing your value to your organization.

Participation by you and your organization as a member, and even more so as a committee volunteer , demonstrates both your own and your company’s ‘charisma’ and ‘good faith’ toward advancing dental EDI and being a ‘friend of the industry’. Of course, it also shows a desire to be a leader in the development and education of EDI for the dental industry.

NDEDIC, as an organization, has 18 years of technical EDI experience in the dental industry and continues to relay that experience to you, our members. We are proud of NDEDIC’s contributions to the dental industry. Together, the Board and our membership have accomplished a great deal in the area of dental e-commerce.
